Occupational/Hand
Therapy Evaluations
On every patient’s first visit he or she is evaluated by a CHT to determine the plan of care. Goals are discussed with each patient and a treatment program is established.
Upper Extremity
Custom Orthoses
The CHT will fabricate custom orthoses for the elbow, wrist or hand to protect, immobilize or mobilize an injured body part based on doctor’s orders, etc.
Modalities
Therapeutic modalities are treatments that cause a change to the body. They assist in the healing process of injuries – including moist heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
Strength Exercises
Active and Passive ROM exercises are utilized in the clinic to improve motion to the upper extremity. Weights, machines and exercise equipment are used to improve strength.

Diana Price, OT, CHT, has been practicing hand therapy in Miami-Dade and Broward counties since 1992 and has been the owner and director of Florida Hand Therapy & Rehabilitation, Inc. since August 2006. Diana is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, the Florida Occupational Therapy Association and AOTA.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A: Monday 8-6, Tuesday 2-7, Wednesday 8-6, Thursday 8-6 and Friday 8-2. Available Saturdays on request for post-operative emergency care and custom orthoses.
A: Initial evaluations are $145 and therapy sessions are $90.
A: We accept check, cash and all credit cards. We also accept Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay.
The cost of accepting electronic payments continues to rise. More customers than ever pay with credit cards, not to mention the number of “ rewards” credit cards issued is at an all-time high. As a result, our cost of doing business also increases. Up to this point we have absorbed all of the increases internally, However in an effort to keep our prices competitive and our business profitable, we have decided to price all of our goods and services with a cash discount. We still welcome various electronic payment methods in our business, however those transactions will incur a 3.5 % non-cash adjustment to help offset the fees we must pay to process those payments. We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued patronage. Our office assistant will let you know your out-of-pocket responsibility prior to your appointment.
